Channel 4 has commissioned a second series of prison comedy Screw, starring Laura Checkley

Screw is a darkly comedic prison drama set behind bars and starring an array of talented actors including Nina Sosanya, Jamie Lee Donnell and Laura Checkley. Laura plays the tough, no-nonsense prison guard Jackie and it has been confirmed that she will return for the second series.   The show will run on Channel 4 who has promised that it will be "bigger, bolder, and more dangerous than ever".

The first series of the show was praised by critics and audiences alike with four star reviews from the Times, Guardian and Daily Mail.
"Balances horror and humour without diluting either of them" - The Times
"Dryly comic prison drama worth doing time for" - The Guardian
"Fast moving and deftly drawn" - Daily Mail

The show is written by Killing Eve writer Rob Williams who has said "I’m absolutely delighted to get the opportunity to dig deeper into the complicated characters on C Wing - we have a lot more stories to tell".

Laura commented on Instagram "Return for a second SCREW you say? Well of course I’d be delighted! We are all totally thrilled and can’t wait to get going".

Laura Checkley is best known for her portrayal of Terri King in 'King Gary' and PE teacher Mrs Blocker in BAFTA winning 'In My Skin'.  She is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents.  Click her image for her profile page and voiceover showreel.
