Netflix has announced a release date of Thursday 29th May for their major new police procedural drama 'Dept. Q'. The 8-part series is set in Edinburgh within a newly formed cold case division led by former top-rated detective Carl Morck (played by Matthew Goode).
Scottish actress and star of 'Under the Banner of Heaven' Chloe Pirrie has a leading role as "ruthless and ambitious" prosecutor Merritt Linguard. 'Dept. Q' is directed by Scott Frank, who also directed her in the 2020 Netflix hit 'The Queen's Gambit', and is based on the series of noir crime novels from Danish author Jussi Adler-Olsen.
The A-list cast also includes Kelly Macdonald and Mark Bonnar.
