We have a huge array of talent appearing at the Leicester Comedy Festival which starts today, Wednesday 7th February and runs until Sunday 25th.
Kicking things off tonight, Wednesday 7th, is Tadiwa Mahlunge with his hit Edinburgh show 'Inhibition Exhibition'. He is currently touring the UK with this show which earned him a nomination for Best Newcomer at last year's Edinburgh Festival, and was also shortlisted for Best Show at last year's Leicester Comedy Festival.
On Sunday 11th the multi-award winning Nick Helm is bringing his work-in-progress show 'Masterworks' to Firebug.
Next week Harriet Dyer will be testing out material for her brand new show 'Skin' on Wednesday 14th at Peter Pizzeria, whilst on Thursday 15th at the same venue you can catch previous Leicester Comedian of the Year Nina Gilligan with her new show 'In Bits'.
On Saturday 17th we have a double whammy in the shape of Russell Hicks and his show 'Connects' as well as Chris Cantrill with his work-in-progress show 'Easily Swayed' which he'll be performing at the Phoenix.
Josh Jones is also in action on Saturday night, performing back to back shows at Firebug. First he'll be performing his Edinburgh show 'Gobsmacked', with which he toured the UK last year and this will be followed by him trying out some new material for his work in progress show.
On Sunday 18th Rachel Fairburn will be at Duffy's Bar where she will introduce us to some new mates in her brand new solo character show 'Rachel Fairburn & Company'. You can also see her on Saturday 17th at Peter Pizzeria's Late Night Comedy Club where she will be MCing.
