Russell Hicks is one of the most exciting recent comic talents to have come out of the US. Now based in London, he is a razor-sharp, provocative comedian who has a huge following and is a major player on the UK stand-up circuit. In 2022 his show ‘The Age of Hicks’ was nominated for Best Show at the prestigious Leicester Comedy Festival. This was his second nomination at the Festival, having previously earned a nomination for Best Improv Show in 2017.
He regularly hosts and headlines at major clubs across the UK, including Hot Water Comedy Club, The Stand, Glee Club and Up the Creek, with a monthly residency at Top Secret Comedy Club in London. He was a live host/compere at the Leeds and Reading Festivals in 2021. This is alongside his Stateside work with legendary venues The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory in Hollywood.
Russell is the voice of Sky Comedy and is a presenter on Yahoo Entertainment. He is a talented writer and currently has a project in development with the BBC. He has over 250k followers on TikTok with over 5 million likes.
He starred in the Amazon Prime 2022 comedy reality show ‘Lovestruck High’ which was narrated by Lindsay Lohan. The series transported a group of UK singles back to school to live out their American High School fantasies, with one couple winning a $100k prize. Russell appeared as Coach Hughes who put the students through their paces in gym class, where their sporting abilities were put to the test.
Russell is from San Diego and has a native Southern Californian accent. He is also accomplished in other American accents including Texan which he used for Lovestruck High, and New York.
