Chris Cantrill is a comedian, writer and actor hailing from West Yorkshire. His unique delivery mixes lightly surreal observations with densely packed quickfire jokes.
He made his television debut on Harry Hill’s Clubnite (Channel 4), and has frequently appeared in productions for TV including playing sandwich shop manager Gregg in Alma’s Not Normal (BBC 2), BAFTA nominated animation series Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared (Channel 4) and The Emily Atack Show (ITV 2).
He is one half of the acclaimed sketch double act The Delightful Sausage, with regular appearances at the Edinburgh Festival, earning two nominations for the ‘Best Show’ award (2019 and 2022). As part of The Delightful Sausage Chris has appeared on Harry Hill’s Clubnite (Channel 4), Question Team (Dave) and as series regulars for Late Night Mash (Dave). They’ve also had their own special on BBC Radio 2 (The Delightful Sausage on: Staycations) and a web series for Dave (Great Britain: Wide Open & Ready).
He has a BBC Radio 4 series in development and has written for Dave, Channel 4, BBC Radio 2, CBeebies and CBBC.
Chris grew up in Bradford, he has a Bradford accent which is very near Leeds and sounds similar.
