Mancunian ray of sunshine, Josh Jones is one of the most exciting voices to emerge from the North-West in recent years.
He made his hilarious TV debut on E4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats and ITV’s Jonathan Ross Comedy Club in 2020 and has gone on to host BBC Three’s Fast Food Face-Off. He has become a familiar face on our TV screens making guest appearances on top TV comedy shows including: Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown; ITV2’s Iain Stirling’s CelebAbility and The Stand-Up Sketch Show; E4’s Reality News and Married At First Sight: Unveiled; Sky Max’s Dating No Filter; Dave’s Late Night Mash and As Yet Untitled; BBC Two’s The Apprentice: You’re Fired, and Comedy Central’s Undeniable, Guessable, Rhod Gilbert’s Growing Pains and Comedy Central Live. In 2022 he made his first appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show.
In 2023 his new stand-up show 'Gobsmacked' debuted at the Edinburgh Festival, receiving a number of 4 star reviews with critics describing him as "blissfully comical", "hugely likeable and talented" and "a force of nature". Following Edinburgh, he undertakes a 19 date UK tour with the show. His critically-acclaimed 2022 Edinburgh show ‘Waste of Space’ at the Pleasance Courtyard was a sell-out and saw him nominated for Best Newcomer at Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Awards.
Josh can be heard on a number of podcasts including co-hosting the Dave original podcast series Hard Sell, hosting his own historical gossip podcast Dead Drama, and co-hosting Chatting with Cherubs.
He was previously a finalist for the prestigious BBC New Comedy Award, which he subsequently went on to judge on BBC Three. He was also nominated for Outstanding On-Screen Talent Featured in a Production at the 2022 Royal Television Society Northern Ireland Awards for hosting Fast Food Face-Off for BBC Three.
