Billed as “one of the country's top new comedy acts”, writer, actor and comedian Tadiwa Mahlunge has performed at leading comedy and music festivals, alongside some of the biggest names in comedy.

As seen on BBC One, BBC Two, Dave, Comedy Central, Comic Relief and heard on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio Wales and BBC Sounds, he has established himself as one of comedy’s hottest prospects. He was one of only 4 acts chosen for the Pleasance Comedy Reserve at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022 which showcases some of the most exciting comedy newcomers before they become household names.

In 2023 he made his Edinburgh Festival solo debut with his stand-up show ‘Inhibition Exhibition’ at the Pleasance Courtyard, earning him a nomination for 'Best Newcomer' in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards.  The show received a number of 4 star reviews and was also chosen by The Sun as one of the top 20 shows to see at the Festival. Previously the show was nominated for Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

He has provided tour support for leading comedians such as Christina P, Jessica Fostekew, Desiree Burch, and Kiri Pritchard-McLean who said, “Tadiwa has been gathering pace as a prodigious act. Landing a highly sought after spot on the Pleasance Reserve has cemented his star in the making status”.  He was also described by Aisling Bea as “very bloody funny” and Daniel Kaluuya as a “fearless comedian on the rise”.

"He’s going to be playing big venues very soon. Catch him on the way up" - Metro

"There’s plenty of intelligence behind this act, that speaks softly but carries a big, funny, stick." - Chortle

In 2023 he can be seen at major festivals including Standon Calling, Oxford Comedy Festival and Brighton Comedy Garden.

Tadiwa has a neutral accent with hints of London and he is very confident with South African/Southern Africa accents as well as Ghanaian and Nigerian accents due to growing up in an African household.  He is also a native speaker of Shona which is spoken in Zimbabwe.
