Cyril Nri plays Lord Danbury in ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ which is released later this week

Netflix's Bridgerton prequel 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story' is released this Thursday, 4th May with Cyril Nri playing Lord Danbury. 

The 6-episode series is a spin-off from the main Bridgerton storyline and tells of young Queen Charlotte's rise to prominence and power.  The series sees many of the main cast reprise their roles, with Golda Rosheuvel returning as Queen Charlotte and Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury.

Cyril Nri plays Lord Danbury, the older husband to a young Lady Danbury (Arsema Thomas) who becomes a close friend and confidante to the young Queen Charlotte (played by India Ria Amarteifio).

The story focuses on the great love story between King George and his young Queen which led to a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.
