ITV has announced that filming will begin this summer on a second series of their hit crime drama 'The Tower'. The first series, which is based on the novels by Kate London, was broadcast on ITV in 2021. The second series titled 'The Tower II: Death Message' will see all the main characters from the first series return to their roles. This includes Gemma Whelan, Jimmy Akingbola and Tahirah Sharif. Emmett J. Scanlan will also return as shady police boss DI Kieran Shaw.
It has been revealed that the new series will feature a domestic violence case as well as the re-opening of a case of a missing school girl who disappeared in the 1990s on the day of Princess Diana's funeral.
ITV's head of drama, Polly Hill, said, "It's a real thrill to be recommissioning The Tower with an excellent cast and script from Patrick Harbinson and the team at Mammoth Screen. The characters, brilliantly created by novelist Kate London, certainly resonated with our audience who are keen to learn what happens next."
Irish actor Emmett J. Scanlan is best known for his starring roles in Gangs of London and Peaky Blinders and is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents. Click his image for his profile page and showreel.
