Engine Creative's emotional campaign 'Long Live the Prince' has added to its Cannes Titanium Grand Prix by being the only campaing to win a coveted Gold of Golds Award at the this year's Creative Circle Awards.
The moving work, on behalf of EA Sports, paid tribute to the late football prodigy, Kiyan Prince, who was stabbed & killed at the age of 15. Tuwaine Barrett voiced the part of Kiyan.
The campaign was created to raise awareness of knife crime on the 15th anniversary of Kiyan's death by turning him into a virtual QPR player in the FIFA 21 video game. Match Attax also issued a Kiyan playing card and major brands including Adidas and JD sponsored him. Ageing-projection software was used to create a scientifically accurate image of how Prince would look at the age of 30.
Jeremy Green, managing director of the Creative Circle and founder of UKCF, comments, “I would like to extend a huge congratulations to all our 2022 winners. The standard of entries has remained remarkably high, with talent from all across the industry recognised. It makes me so proud of the work we continue to do, improving accessibility for and representation for aspiring young creatives - what a wonderful end to another record-breaking year!”
