ITV's major new drama series 'After The Flood' premieres tonight, Wednesday 10th January, at 9pm on ITV1. The full series will also be available as a boxset on ITVX.
The 8-part drama stars Sophie Rundle as Jo Marshall, a police officer involved in the clean-up after a major flood in a small town. However when the body of a man is discovered in a lift in an underground car park she dismisses the theory that he was trapped by the rising waters and becomes obsessed with finding out the truth about what really happened to him.
Faye McKeever has a major role in the show playing Kelly, Jo's sister-in-law, whose family home is flooded, so her and her family move in with Jo and her husband Pat (played by Matt Stokoe). Kelly and her family immediately take over the whole house, much to Jo's irritation. Although super-friendly (too friendly some might say), Kelly is not attuned to other people's feelings and this begins to cause friction between her and Jo.
The series also stars Philip Glenister and Lorraine Ashbourne.
