Faye McKeever stars in the second series of the BBC prison drama 'Time', this time set in a women's prison. The first series starred Sean Bean and won two BAFTAs including Best Mini-Series.
As before, the show will consist of 3 episodes, but this time will follow three central female characters who arrive at the prison on the same day, Orla (Jodie Whittaker), Abi (Tamara Lawrance) and Kelsey (Bella Ramsey). The only returning character from series one is Siobhan Finneran's prison chaplain Marie-Louise.
Faye McKeever has a major role playing the villainous Tanya Helsby, who stirs up a load of violence in the prison. When interviewed at the premiere earlier this month she talked about how much she enjoyed playing the character saying, "I was a bit of a scally when I was about 13 so I just remembered that and channelled my inner scally and then went full hog and was like this is really liberating doing something completely different".
The series is once again written by Jimmy McGovern, with co-writer Helen Black.
Tune in to BBC One on Sunday night, 29th October, at 9pm for the first episode, with the series continuing on Sunday nights. Each episode will also be available on BBC iPlayer after broadcast.
