Idris Elba's hugely anticipated docu-drama 'Erased: Heroes of Colour' is now available on National Geographic.
The 4-part series reveals the heroic stories of people of colour who were whitewashed from the greatest conflict in history. From Dunkirk to Pearl Harbour to D-Day the series documents some of the greatest moments of World War II from the perspective of the soldiers of colour who dedicated themselves to the Allied cause.
The series mixes war sequences with character portraits, in order to restore the role of these soldiers and their units to their rightful place in the narrative of WWII and reveals how these heroes inspired civil rights movements across the world.
Narinder Samra voices the parts of two heroic Indian soldiers Siddiq Ahmed and Anis Khan.
Siddiq Ahmed was a military medic from Northern India who enlisted in 1937 and was imprisoned in 1940, making a heroic escape in 1943. Anis Khan was a blue-blooded Indian Muslim who was one of the first Indians to attend the Royal Military College at Sandhurst, also imprisoned in 1940.
