Imogen Daines guest stars in the first episode of the ninth and final series of Endeavour on ITV on Sunday night

The much anticipated new series of Endeavour starts on ITV on Sunday night.  This is the final series for long running detective drama, which is set in Oxford and is the prequel to the much-loved long-running Inspector Morse TV series.  The new series will have a total of 3 episodes. 

The first episode, called 'Prelude', sees Endeavour investigating the gruesome discovery of a body in the grounds of an Oxford College, leading him to the door of the celebrated Oxford Concert Orchestra. It's not long before there is a second victim, first violinist and Orchestra leader Margeaux Quincannon falls dead across the stage during a performance and it is revealed that someone laced her rosin with nuts, prompting a fatal anaphylactic reaction.  

Imogen Daines plays Mabs Portman who plays second violin in the Orchestra.

The new episode will be shown at 8pm on Sunday 26th February on ITV, and will also be available to stream on ITVX
