8-part Irish crime drama Kin charts the lives of the Kinsellas, a Dublin family embroiled in gangland war and speaks to the enduring unbreakable bonds of blood and family. Emmett J. Scanlan stars as Jimmy Kinsella, one of the brothers in the notorious Kinsella gang, who loses his innocent son in the crossfire of a gangland war.
Emmett has been nominated in the Irish Academy Awards (IFTAs) as Best Supporting Actor in a Drama for this role, with the series itself receiving 13 nominations in the Awards, the highest number of nominations for any show this year.
The series was broadcast in Ireland last year, but this is the first time it can be seen by British audiences. It will be available on Amazon Prime Video's Sundance Now service from today, Thursday 24th March.
When interviewed about the series, Emmett said "Kin is motivated by loss, grief, family, justice, compassion, loyalty, and whether you like it or not, pure unadulterated rage and revenge, because the thought of losing an innocent child, for any parent, would bring all that to the forefront".
Dublin-born Emmett J. Scanlan is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents. Click his image for his profile page and voiceover showreel.
