Khalid Daley stars in brand new 2-part docu-drama 'The Great War' which premieres on the History Channel in the US on Monday 27th May.
He plays William Henry Johnson, one of America's greatest war heroes who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honour, the United States' highest military decoration, by President Barack Obama. He was an African American soldier who fought in the 369th Infantry Regiment (AKA the Harlem Hellfighters), made up of African American soldiers, who fought alongside French soldiers during the First World War.
Not only did he fight off a German raid party through hand-to-hand combat, he rescued a fellow soldier in the process. At the time he was awarded the French Croix de Guerre, the only American soldier to receive such an honour, but he died in poverty in 1929, having never fully recovered from injuries received during the war.
The four hour documentary will be spread across two episodes which will be broadcast on Monday and Tuesday night on The History Channel.
Khalid Daley is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents. Click his image for his profile page and voiceover showreel.
