Laura Checkley returns as no-nonsense prison guard Jackie in series 2 of Channel 4’s comedy-drama Screw

Channel 4's dark-comedy drama Screw returns to our screens tonight, Wednesday 30th August, with 6 brand new episodes.

The drama stars Laura Checkley as no-nonsense prison guard Jackie, alongside Nina Sosanya and Jamie-Lee O'Donnell.  After the tragic events of Series One, the prison guards at Long Marsh men's prison are determined to make a fresh start, with the synopsis for the show saying, "Complicated lives and rumours of undercover officers threaten to disturb order on C Wing and the team of embattled prison officers will be tested to the limit. One way or another, the truth will come out..."

In a recent interview for Channel 4 Laura spoke about what she's been most looking forward to about the new series: "Getting to delve into who Jackie really is. There are some challenging and intense storylines coming up, so I was excited about getting my teeth in to that and it’s been a great challenge. Everyone gets their own arc this series and it runs brilliantly alongside the main big dangerous and exciting storyline."
