Award-winning Northern comedian Ian Smith will be performing his stand-up show 'Talking and Shouting' at Monkey Barrel Comedy at the Edinburgh Festival from this evening, 15th August. The show has a limited run over the next 3 days.
The show will include complex theatrical techniques including talking, shouting and walking around the stage a bit.

Ian’s previous Edinburgh Fringe shows have received critical acclaim, award-nominations and runs at Soho Theatre. In 2015 he was part of the hugely successful, multi-award winning, ‘Richard Gadd – Waiting for Gaddot’. His 2017 show, ‘Snowflake’, won an Amused Moose Comedy Award and a ThreeWeeks Editors’ Award and he went on to perform it at the New Zealand Comedy Festival. His most recent Fringe show in 2020, ‘Half-Life’, was “an effortlessly brilliant stand-up show” (★★★★ The Scotsman) which played to sell-out crowds and is now available on Amazon's comedy streaming service 'NextUp'. In 2020 he was nominated for two Chortle Awards, including Best Compere.
