French horror film 'La Damnée' (The Damned) is released in French cinemas today, 2nd October.
It tells the story of a young, agoraphobic Moroccan girl, Yara, who is living and studying in Paris, but who hasn't left her home for months, her only point of contact being phone calls to her grandmother in Morocco. Horrifying childhood family events have led to a fear of venturing outside but her worst fears become reality one night when a mysterious apparition targets her.
Ouidad Elma stars as Djeinaba, who terrorises Yara.
