Rachel Fairburn returns to Edinburgh with her brand new character show 'Side Eye', which she is performing daily throughout the month at Monkey Barrel Comedy.  The show features 7 deadly characters who the Guardian has described as "captivatingly awful yet extremely relatable".

In a recent interview with Broadway World she talked about the show saying that the show is "loosely based around the seven deadly sins. Very loosely. It just makes it link a bit better because the first thing I discovered about doing a character show is that I needed to bring them together. Each character is a bit of an arsehole, I don't think you'll like every character but you might feel sorry for some of them."

Review highlights -

★★★★.5 "you have to see this show, and you’re definitely going to want to tell people that you saw this show the first year Rachel took it to the Fringe. I can’t wait to see more of this type of comedy from her, she’s an exceptional talent" - A Youngish Perspective

★★★★ "a beautiful example of character comedy...Fairburn’s work is just spectacular...It’s so unbelievably clever that just watching the show and seeing the puzzle pieces fit together generates a lot of excitement" - Pepper and Salt

★★★★ "a polished and accomplished hour with a lot of laughs" - The List

★★★ "She reveals an incredible talent for accents, slipping seamlessly from scouse to rah to Welsh and back to her own Mancunian cadence, across some captivating performances...It may be Fairburn’s first foray into character comedy, but I hope it’s not her last" - The Guardian

Luckily for those of us who can't be in Edinburgh this month, she is then taking the show on a major 32-date UK tour next year, visiting venues in Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cambridge, London and Bristol, and she promises more dates will be added.  Tickets on sale now.
