The long-awaited Disney live-action musical version of Snow White is released in cinemas today, Friday 21st March.
The remake sees Rachel Zegler in the title role and follows a similar format to the 1937 film where the beautiful Snow White flees to the forest to escape her evil stepmother, joining forces with the Seven Dwarves to rid the kingdom of her evil reign.
West End star Dujonna Gift plays the part of Maple, a new character who is Snow White's best friend. Dujonna has been described in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan as "Snow White's secret weapon".
In the interview she talks about her friendship with Rachel Zegler saying, "We leaned on each other a lot as she was away from home, so I adopted her into my family and we explored London together. I’m grateful for our friendship. She’s a special human." She also revealed that her dream Disney role would be to play Princess Tiana in The Princess And The Frog.
