Gangs of London is one of Sky Original's biggest successes, with both Emmy and BAFTA nominations under its belt. Tonight, Thursday 20th October, the hit series returns to Sky Atlantic, with all episodes also available to stream on NOW.
BAFTA Rising Star nominee Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù will be returning in his starring role as undercover cop, Elliot Finch, who was responsible for shooting gang boss Sean Wallace in the Season 1 finale.
The official synopsis for the new series says, "One year after the death of Sean Wallace and the violent reckonings of series one, the map and soul of London has been redrawn. The surviving Wallaces are scattered, the Dumanis broken and estranged, and ex-undercover cop Elliot is now being forced to work for the investors." The series will also feature a new villain, gang boss Koba.
Jack Bennett can also be seen in the new series as an interrogator.
In a recent interview, Ṣọpẹ́ talked about what lies in store for Elliot Finch saying, "I would love for Elliot the same thing I would love for all humanity, and that is peace of mind and happiness, but I don’t think that is the trajectory that he is on. I think it’s going to get a lot worse before it gets better for him..."
Last week Sky released an interview with Ṣọpẹ́ talking about 'Season 2: Secrets from the Set'.
