Sọpẹ́ Dìrísù stars in new black comedy 'Silent Night', in cinemas on Friday

The film appears to be a jovial portrayal of Christmas in the beautiful country manor owned by Keira Knightley & Matthew Goode's characters Nell & Simon.  However, a shadow is cast over the proceedings with the knowledge that they all face an imminent and painful death due to a lethal & poisonous gas which is sweeping the country.  Sọpẹ́ Dìrísù stars as James, their charming school friend and prominent doctor who, along with his American girlfriend (played by Lily-Rose Depp), question whether they should all take the "exit pills" endorsed by the government. Dark humour and dystopian drama ensue.

The film had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival back in September and its UK premiere earlier this month.  The film is released in cinemas across the UK & US on Friday 3rd December.  Critics have described the film as 'black comedy at its finest' and 'darkly hilarious and heart-rending'.
