Tuwaine Barrett stars in major new 4-part drama You Don't Know Me premiering on Sunday night on BBC One & iPlayer

The series, based on criminal defence barrister Imran Mahmood's bestselling novel, will run on Sunday and Monday nights at 9pm for two consecutive weeks on BBC One, with the first episode airing on Sunday 5th December. The series will also be available in its entirety on BBC iPlayer from Sunday night.

The story is a courtroom drama about Hero, a young man standing trial for murder, with overwhelming evidence that he is guilty.  Hero tells an extraordinary story to the jury in a desperate bid for them to believe him and win his freedom.

Author Imran Mahmood says the story was inspired by the young men he defended in London courts. The screen adaptation is by the same man who wrote submarine drama Vigil and co-produced with Netflix.
