Acorn TV drama series which ran on Channel 5, starring Bertie Carvel as DCI Adam Dalgliesh, and based on the bestselling novels by P. D. James.
There have been 3 series of the show (2021, 2023 & 2025) which followed Dalgliesh, an enigmatic detective and published poet, investigating crimes in 1970s England, through to the present day.
Richard Harrington guest starred as Dr David Rollinson in Series 2, in the 2-part 'Death of an Expert Witness' and Adam James guests starred in Series 3 as Dr Alex Mayer, in the 2-part 'Devices and Desires'.
