2019 Judy Garland biopic starring Renee Zellwegger in the title role, a role which earned her the 2020 Best Actress Academy Award. She won a string of Best Actress awards for her performance, including a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award. Darci Shaw played Judy as a young woman in a performance described as "truly stellar" (Rolling Stone).
The film was an adaptation of the Olivier- and Tony-nominated West End and Broadway play 'End of the Rainbow'.
The film portrayed Garland's career and declining health during the last year of her life, when she relocated her stage career to England. This is coupled with flashbacks from her childhood, including the filming of her most famous role, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.
The film also starred Jessie Buckley, Rufus Sewell and Michael Gambon. Gemma-Leah Devereux played her daughter, Liza Minnelli.
