Comedy series set in the East Midlands market town of Newark. Follows chip shop manager and exhausted mum Maxine who is going through a divorce and dealing with her son Leslie coming out as gay (to the surprise of no one!) and her ex-husband trying desperately to win her back. The series is a heart-warming yet goofy portrayal of some of the ridiculous things that go on in a small town.
Written by Nathan Foad and starring Morgana Robinson and Mathew Horne. Nathan Foad also has a supporting role in the show.
