Nathan is a TV writer, comedian and actor originally from Newark-on-Trent. He had a starring role in HBO Max's 2022 historical comedy series 'Our Flag Means Death', produced and directed by Academy Award, Grammy and BAFTA winning Taika Waititi. The show was based around the true story of Stede Bonnet, an eighteenth century aristocrat who had a midlife crisis, gave up his privileged life and became a pirate. Nathan starred as Lucius, alongside Rhys Darby as Stede Bonnet, as well as Samson Kayo, Rory Kinnear and Taika Waititi as Blackbeard.
His first TV writing commission for Gold 'Newark Newark' premiered in 2022, later hitting BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in 2024. The comedy series was set in his home town of Newark and captured some of the ridiculous things that go on in a small town, centred around a chip shop manager and her family. The series starred Morgana Robinson and Matthew Horne, with Nathan in a supporting role as roller disco manager Rowan.
In 2024 he joined the cast for the third series of Diane Morgan's hit BBC Two comedy 'Mandy' playing air steward Kenny. And in 2022 he played Spencer in Series Two of Sky Comedy’s medical comedy ‘Bloods’ opposite Jane Horrocks and Samson Kayo.
Nathan has gained worldwide attention for his social content and has worked as a writer for every major British channel, including the BBC, Channel 4, Sky, ITV and Comedy Central. Most notably, he has written for ‘The Young Offenders’ (BBC3/RTE) and ‘The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice’ (C4) as well as executive producing his own Channel 4 comedy pilot alongside Skins creator Bryan Elsley. Nathan’s writing has been published in VICE.
He made his audiobook debut in 2024 reading 'Voyage of the Damned' by Frances White, a title which quickly became a fan favourite and was listed in Audible's Top 20 Audiobooks of 2024.
His native accent is Nottingham and he is very confident with most UK accents; Yorkshire, Lancashire, Geordie, Northern Irish, Scottish, West Country, Estuary, RP, Scottish (Edinburgh & Glasgow).
