Nathan Foad has been cast as Malc in a brand new play 'Shakespeare's Women'. The play will premiere with an afternoon of rehearsed readings at The Globe's Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on Sunday 7th January.
The dark comedy is written by award winning actor, writer and producer Lorien Haynes and transports ten of Shakespeare’s women from the 16th century to 2024; placing them in the same domestic abuse support group where although centuries may have passed, little has changed. As they eat biscuits and talk, the play explores each woman’s darkest secrets and asks what would happen if we met these protagonists today.
Be part of the premiere of the play with an afternoon of rehearsed readings from the cast, directed by Jude Kelly as they shine a light into areas of domestic abuse.
The distinguished cast also includes Tamsin Greig, Lorien Haynes, Will Keen and Perdita Weeks with further cast announcements to follow.
Refuge is the largest specialist domestic abuse organisation in the UK. On any given day Refuge services support thousands of survivors, helping them overcome the physical, emotional, financial and logistical impacts of abuse and rebuild their lives — free from fear. Find out more about Refuge.
