Supremely talented actor, writer and comedian Nathan Foad has been selected for Out Magazine’s OUT100, who describe his sense of humour as "impish and cheeky, and definitely fun. Yes, he’s a rascal, but he’s one of the most lovable rascals in the world."
Out is an American LGBTQ+ news, fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazine and has the highest circulation of any LGBTQ+ monthly publication in the USA. Every year they publish the Out100, a list of the most impactful and influential LGBTQ+ people.
He was particularly commended for his “scene stealing” portrayal of Lucius in pirate comedy ‘Our Flag Means Death’, described as “one of the best queer love stories on TV”. They described his portrayal of Lucius as "perhaps the most relatable. While everyone around him is a complete disaster, he sighs, rolls his eyes, draws nude portraits of other pirates, and says what we’re all thinking." His self-penned sitcom 'Newark Newark' was also singled out.
When interviewed by Out Nathan described himself as a “full-time scamp", saying his purpose in life is to “make comedy so good people are just like, giggling at funerals,” and that if he could change one thing in the world, he’d “make it illegal to list calories on restaurant menus.”
