The show revolves around a family-run sportswear company in the North of England which is littered with buried secrets. Maxine Peake stars as the company's boss who clashes with the new HR Director Maya Benshaw, played by Rakhee Thakrar, when she tries to shake up the lad culture in the workplace. The story takes a frightening twist when a dead body is found in the company’s reception area. Kieran Bew starred as company co-owner Gareth Jenkins, with Zoë Tapper playing Vanessa Jenkins the wife of his brother. Tom Forbes played Maya's unpleasantly jealous ex-husband Luke Benshaw.
