Tom Forbes is a respected British screen actor from South London who has starred in some major recent TV hits including leading roles playing Mark in the 2023 BBC musical drama series ‘Champion' and most recently playing Ted in Channel 4's 8-part adaptation of the bestselling novel 'Queenie', both written by Candice Carty-Williams.
He is particularly known for starring as Prince Louis in the second series of the Sky History’s 14th Century drama series ‘Knightfall’ (currently showing on Netflix), as well as playing jealous ex-husband Luke Benshaw in the 2022 BBC crime drama series ‘Rules of the Game’.
He was a series regular playing James in Netflix teen-drama ‘Free Rein’ and also had a recurring role as Piers Gaveston in FX’s historical drama series ‘The Bastard Executioner’, set in 14th Century Wales.
Other recent roles include playing tour manager Noel Monk in the Disney+ mini-series ‘Pistol’ about the rise to fame of The Sex Pistols; playing Alun in the 7th series of DC’s superhero time-travelling drama ‘Legends of Tomorrow’; and playing former FBI Agent Nick Thorpe in the long-running CBS American police procedural drama series ‘FBI: International’.
Earlier, in 2015, he had a role in the BAFTA and Golden Globe winning drama series ‘Wolf Hall’ which was set in the court of Henry VIII and starred Mark Rylance, Damien Lewis and Claire Foy. And prior to that in 2013 he had a major role playing Anatoliy in Sky’s ‘A Young Doctor’s Notebook & Other Stories’ which starred Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe.
Notable film credits include the 2022 Marvel adventure film ‘Morbius, a major role in the 2019 feature film ‘False Witness’, the BIFA nominated Netflix film ‘Been So Long’ and playing the lead in the 2021 independent film ‘Dead In October’ which won the Audience Award at the Manchester International Film Festival. In 2017 he starred as Warren Beatty in the BBC TV movie ‘Babs’ about the life of screen legend Barbara Windsor which starred Jaime Winstone in the title role.
Other TV credits include ‘Domina’ (MGM+), ‘Strike Back’ (Cinemax), ‘Bulletproof’ (Sky One) and ‘The Royals’ (E!).
Tom is from Peckham and has a neutral accent with hints of South London which he can strengthen or neutralise as required. He regularly uses an RP accent and is also proficient in a number of US accents which he has used in much of his work. His father is French so he also has an excellent English with a French accent.
