Kieran is a leading actor from the North-East, recognisable for his many prominent TV roles.  Most notable is his starring role as Bill O’Hara in all 3 seasons of Cinemax’s Emmy nominated martial-arts drama ‘Warrior’, based on the writings of Bruce Lee.  

He is also known for starring as Beowulf in ITV’s 12-part fantasy drama series ‘Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands’. 

In 2024 he will star in a leading role in the second season of HBO's Golden Globe winning 'House of the Dragon'.  He will play the ferociously strong Hugh Hammer in the new 8-part series which is due out in summer 2024.  

In 2022, he starred in the hit BBC drama ‘Rules of the Game’ as company head Gareth Jenkins, opposite Maxine Peake.  He also starred as part of an all-star cast in both seasons of ITV’s psychological thriller ‘Liar’.

In 2023 he had a role in the film ‘Typist, Artist, Pirate, King’, about avant-garde schizophrenic artist Audrey Amiss, which also starred Monica Dolan and Kelly McDonald.  Other film credits include playing the title role in the TV movie ‘Hans Christian Anderson: My Life as a Fairytale’ and the feature film ‘Green Street Hooligans’ from Universal Pictures. 

He starred in Series 2 & 3 of the Starz historical drama series ‘Da Vinci’s Demons’, as Duke Alphonso of Calabria and had a major role as DI Mike Sutherland in the BBC crime drama series ‘Rellik’.  He has also appeared in a number of well-known TV shows including playing Karen’s love interest Gareth in Series 7 of ITV’s ‘Cold Feet’ and playing DI Jack Burns in the first 2 seasons of the BBC crime drama ‘WPC 56’.   He has appeared in a long list of well-loved TV shows including Silent Witness, Hustle, The Bill, Waking the Dead, Whitechapel and Doctor Who, as well as Jimmy McGovern’s BAFTA winning drama series ‘The Street’. 

He also has many theatre credits, including Trevor Nunn’s production of Richard II at the Old Vic and  Michael Attenborough’s production of King Lear at the Almeida. 

He has extensive video game experience including ‘Anthem’, ‘Total War: Warhammer II’, ‘Mass Effect: Andromeda’ and ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ and has voiced a number of documentaries. 

Kieran is from Hartlepool, Tees in the North East. He has a light Teeside accent which he can provide different degrees of. He uses a Neutral accent regularly and is well practised in other Nothern accents; he played a Mancunian recently in BBC's Rules of the Game in (2022). He uses a Northern Irish accent in his role as Bill in Warrior and is generally brilliant at a variety of accents and characters including American which he's used on screen and stage.
