'Typist Artist Pirate King' is the latest film from acclaimed director Carol Morley, inspired by the life story of forgotten avant-garde artist Audrey Amiss. The film, which has already had glowing reviews from critics, is released in selected cinemas across the UK this Friday, 27th October.
In the "charming and compassionate comedy" we see Audrey, played by Monica Dolan, embark upon a road trip to an art gallery in Sunderland with her psychiatric nurse Sandra, played by Kelly McDonald. The film is executive produced by Jane Campion.
Kieran Bew plays taxi driver Gabe Patier who they meet on their journey to the North East.
