Although the final part of series 7 of Outlander is yet to be released, the producers have just announced some major new cast members for the 8th and final series which should be out later next year.
This includes a leading role for Kieran Bew who will play retired British soldier, Captain Charles Cunningham.
Series 7 was split into two parts, with the first part airing in 2023 and the second part due out in November. Filming of series 8 now underway in Scotland.
The popular Starz 18th Century historical drama series tells the story of Claire Randall, an English nurse, visiting Scotland during World War II, who is swept back in time to 1743 and becomes involved in the Jacobite Rebellion. It is expected that the 8th series will see Claire and her husband Jamie reunited with their daughter Brianna, living in North Carolina in 1779, as the American Revolution is creeping onto their doorstep.
