Typist Artist Pirate King, directed by Carol Morley, premieres at the Glasgow Film Festival this week and sees Kieran Bew playing taxi driver Gabe Petier.
The film is about the life and art of artist Audrey Amiss (played by Monica Dolan) who studied at the Royal Academy of Arts but was unable to complete her training due to being hospitalised for mental illness. The film centres on a fictionalised road trip which she takes with her psychiatric nurse, played by Kelly MacDonald, in which they travel north and reconnect with key individuals and moments from Amiss' past.
Kieran Bew plays Gabe Patier, a taxi driver who they meet on their journey to the North East.
The UK premiere of the film will take place today Wednesday 8th March, at the Glasgow Film Festival.
