Brand new Channel 5 crime drama 'Murder Most Puzzling' starts tonight, 19th June at 8pm. The 6-episode series stars Downton Abbey's Phyllis Logan as Cora Felton, a nationally syndicated crossword puzzle maker who finds herself solving murders in her sleepy market town. However her refreshingly non-PC approach ruffles a few feathers. Phyllis Logan has described the show as "a bit like Murder She Wrote meets Miss Marple on steroids".
Aidan McArdle guest stars in the second episode as shady prison boss Governor Peacock, who warns Cora off investigating a prisoner who has been imprisoned for murder, but who she suspects is innocent.
The series is based on Parnell Hall's best-selling book series The Puzzle Lady Mysteries. New episodes released weekly.
