RTÉ's hit Irish drama series 'Blackshore' is now available to stream in the UK on U (formerly UKTV) and Sky.
The 6-part series follows Dublin-based Detective Inspector Fia Lucey who is pushed out of her job in the capital and moves to a police force in the rural town of Blackwater, not far from where she grew up. The move brings back unwelcome memories of her childhood trauma when her entire family was wiped out in a murder-suicide at the hands of her father. The new role sees her investigating a missing person case: a woman named Roisin from Blackwater has disappeared in mysterious circumstances.
Aidan McArdle plays Charlie Reid, a successful chef and owner of a prestigious restaurant in Blackwater and one of Rosin's closest friends, who raises the alarm when she goes missing. But as the investigation continues it becomes apparent that his concern may have a more self-interested motive.
The Guardian has selected it in its list of 7 top shows to stream this week.
