Amy James-Kelly stars as Anne Boleyn, the doomed second wife of Henry VIII in Netflix's new docu-drama 'Blood, Sex and Royalty'. The 16th Century drama tells the story of Anne Boleyn from her own perspective and combines it with the views of historians to present a "sexy, action-packed, high stakes" portrayal of her relationship with her husband.
The 3-part series is available to stream on Netflix from today, Wednesday 23rd November. Watch the trailer and stream the full series now.
Speaking about the series, Amy recently said, "I play Anne Boleyn – although not the version of her we have learned about at school – this is the real Anne Boleyn. And this docudrama is certainly a twist on anything Tudor-related you have seen before!" Described as "an extraordinary woman who rewrote the rules", the series presents the 'real' Anne Boleyn, a reformer and freethinker whose outspoken views caught the eye of the King.
