'The Glassworker', which was released in Pakistan earlier this year, has already made history as the first hand-drawn animated film from the country. It now bids to make history again as it has been chosen as Pakistan's entry into the Best International Feature category at next year's Academy Awards.
The film is from Pakistan's Mano Animation Studios and features the voice of Sacha Dhawan as young glassblower Vincent and Anjli Mohindra as violinist Alliz who he falls in love with.
It is set in a place loosely based on Pakistan and follows the young Vincent and his father Thomas, the owner of a fine glass workshop. When a war breaks out and an army colonel arrives in their town with his violinist daughter Alliz, the relationship between the father and son is tested.
The film currently has no UK release date.
Anjli Mohindra and Sacha Dhawan are available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents. Click their images for their profile pages and voiceover showreels.
