Anjli Mohindra and Sacha Dhawan star as the voices of Alliz Amano and Vincent Olivier in 'The Glassworker', a brand new animated feature film which premieres at the Annecy International Animation Festival this afternoon.
The film is from Pakistan's Mano Animation Studios and makes history as the first hand-drawn animated film from the country.
It is set in a place loosely based on Pakistan and follows the young Vincent and his father Thomas, the owner of a fine glass workshop. When a war breaks out and an army colonel arrives in their town with his violinist daughter Alliz, the relationship between the father and son is tested.
The Glassworker is also the first time a Pakistani film has been included in the prestigious Contrechamp competition at Annecy, going up against 10 other films. It has a theatrical release date of 26th July in Pakistan.
