The 28th Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG Awards) will take place on Sunday 27th February and will recognise both individual performances as well as the work of the entire ensemble of a TV series or the cast of a motion picture. The Awards are central to the Screen Actors Guild's belief that acting is a collaborative art. This is the second year running that Hulu's satirical comedy series The Great has been nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
The Great is set in 18th century Russia, loosely based around the rise of Catherine the Great, the longest reigning female ruler in Russia's history and her husband Emperor Peter III. Bayo Gbadamosi stars in the series as Lord Arkady, a close friend of the Emperor and loyal member of his court. Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult also star in the ensemble.
