Celine Buckens to play the lead in new BBC drama 'Showtrial', from World Productions, the team behind 'Bodyguard', 'Line of Duty' and 'Vigil'.

No formal release date has been announced yet but it is expected to air on BBC One and iPlayer in late 2021. As 'Vigil' ended last Sunday night, viewers were given a sneak peak at what to expect from Showtrial...but no official trailer has been released to the public yet.

Celine Buckens will play murder suspect 'Talitha Campbell' in the new five-part series who is thrown into the heart of a media storm when she is accused of killing a fellow university student.

Ben Richards, creator and writer, said: “I am delighted with the cast that has been assembled for Showtrial. It is a brilliant ensemble of talented actors that feels modern, energetic, and perfectly suited for the complex characters and storylines.” The show was filmed and is set in Bristol.

Celine's recent TV credits include 'Bridgerton' (Netflix) and 'Free Rein' (also Netflix).  She also starred in Steven Spielberg's award-winning epic 'War Horse'.  Celine is available for voiceovers from Anthea Represents, click her image for her profile page & voiceover showreel.
