The NTA nominations long-list has been revealed with both Callum Turner and Gemma Whelan on the list for 'Best Drama Performance'.
Callum has been nominated for his star performance in Apple TV+ World War II drama series 'Masters of the Air' in which he played Major John 'Bucky' Egan, a member of the ill-fated 100th Bomb Group of the US Airforce.
Gemma's nomination is for her lead role as DS Sarah Collins in 'The Tower', which returned for a second series in 2023 and saw her character investigating the cold case of a missing teenage girl.
The first round of voting is open now, until Friday, with the shortlist being revealed prior to the Awards on 11th September.
The long list for Best New Drama includes a number of shows starring our artists, such as 'The Long Shadow' (David Morrissey), 'Wilderness' (Claire Rushbrook), 'After the Flood' (Faye McKeever), 'Passenger' (Dan Ryan & Matilda Freeman), 'A Gentleman in Moscow' (Johnny Harris), 'Wolf' (Sacha Dhawan & Karl Johnson), 'Mary and George' (Tom Vincent), 'Fool Me Once' (Emmett J. Scanlan & James Northcote) and 'Masters of the Air' which, as well as Callum Turner, starred Stephen Campbell-Moore, Freddy Carter, Edward Ashley and James Frecheville.
'The Tower', which also starred Emmett J Scanlan and Ella Smith also features in the Best Returning Drama category, alongside the most recent series of 'Bridgerton' (Jorden Myrie & Caleb Obediah), 'Doctor Who' (Michelle Greenidge), 'The Lazarus Project' (Anjli Mohindra), 'Slow Horses' (Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù) 'Cobra: Rebellion' (Geoff McGivern) and 'Trigger Point' (Dan Whitlam & Thom Ashley).
