Serpent Queen is the new 16th Century drama about the Italian noblewoman Catherine de Medici who married Henry II and eventually became Queen of France. The series premieres on Starzplay on Sunday 11th September and stars Samantha Morton in the title role as the ruthless 'Serpent Queen'.
The official synopsis reads "With her future suddenly uncertain and with little hope of conceiving, Catherine must quickly learn who she can trust – both within her personal entourage of courtiers and the members of the royal court – while outmaneuvering anyone who underestimates her determination to survive at any cost."
Paul Chahidi stars as Charles de Bourbon.
