Noah Maxwell-Clarke stars alongside Milo Twomey, Paul Chahidi, Imogen Stubbs and Annabel Mullion in ‘Please Protect Abraham’ a new 10-part Radio 4 documentary available now in full on BBC Sounds.
The series tells the story of 15 year old Abraham Badru who heroically rescued a women from a serious sexual assault in Hackney in 2007. However his split second brave decision changed his life forever as he became wanted man by the perpetrators of the crime, living in fear of his life. Sadly 10 years later he was shot and killed. Journalist Sam Holder has been following the story for years and, together with Abraham's family and friends, he re-tells the tragic story.
The series examines how we protect the witnesses of violent crimes, whether they should be obligated to give evidence in court and what more can be done if someone feels their life is at risk.
