Annabel Mullion is a British actress recognisable for her recent role as Aunt Emily in the BAFTA nominated BBC period drama ‘The Pursuit of Love'.  She starred alongside Lily James, Dominic West and Emily Mortimer in the 2021 adaptation of the classic novel by Nancy Mitford.  Recently, in 2022, she appeared in the second series of the BBC’s ‘Gentleman Jack’ as Lady Stuart De Rothesay.

In 2022 she played Fiona Shackleton, the infamous divorce lawyer to the stars, who represented The Prince of Wales in his divorce from Diana in Season 5 of 'The Crown'.

In 2019 she played Anne Harrison in ITV’s crime drama series ‘A Confession’ which was based on the true story of the murders of two women in Swindon and starred Martin Freeman and Imelda Staunton.  In 2018, she played Annabel in the Emmy nominated, BAFTA winning ‘Patrick Melrose’ which starred Benedict Cumberbatch.  In the same year she played Dr Conlon in RTE/UKTV’s darkly comic ‘Women on the Verge’, created by Sharon Horgan. 

Prior to that she played Lady Beatrice Gifford in ITV’s Emmy and BAFTA nominated ‘Victoria’ as well as playing Annabel Birley in ‘Lucan’, ITV’s TV drama series about Lord Lucan. She also played Mrs Woodhouse in the BBC’s Emmy and Golden Globe nominated period drama series ‘Emma’ based on the Jane Austen novel.  She also played Princess Diana’s best friend Rosa Monckton in the TV movie ‘Diana: Last Days of a Princess’. 

Film highlights include playing Dora in the 2021 sci-fi thriller ‘Warning’ which won a number of awards on the film festival circuit.  She also had a role in horror film ‘The Cursed’ (also known as 'Eight for Silver) in the same year.  Prior to that she had a major role in the BIFA nominated feature film 'Final Portrait', about the life of artist Alberto Giacometti, opposite Geoffrey Rush and Clémence Poésy. She played Emily Bowley in the Emmy nominated 1999 TV movie adaptation of ‘A Christmas Carol’ which starred Patrick Stewart and Richard E. Grant. She also had a small role in the first Mission Impossible film in 1996. 

Another film highlight is starring opposite Jack Davenport in the 2011 film 'Mother's Milk', playing the role of Mary Melrose, a part which saw her win Best Supporting Actress at the Monaco Film Festival. Other awards include winning the BBC's Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award which celebrates new acting talent, on her graduation from drama school. 

She has had parts in some of the UK’s best loved TV series including ‘Law & Order’ (UK), ‘Poirot’, ‘Lewis’, ‘Midsomer Murders’, ‘Wallander’ and ‘Jonathan Creek’. 

Stage credits include ‘Bodies’ at the Southwark Playhouse, Trevor Nunn’s ‘Love in Idleness’ at the Apollo Theatre in the West End and Stephen Daldry’s ‘An Inspector Calls’ at the West End’s Garrick Theatre. 

Annabel has a natural RP accent which she neutralises regularly in her acting. She is skilled in playing quirky characters for animation.  She also speaks Spanish and recently had a Spanish-speaking role in the short film ‘Cherry Bomb’.
