'Somewhere Boy' is Channel 4's highly anticipated new black comedy drama which begins this Sunday, 16th October at 10pm. The series will also be available in its entirety on All 4.
It tells the story of 18 year old Danny, whose father has kept him indoors his entire life, away from the 'monsters' outside, after his mother died in a car crash when he was little. Until one day his secluded existence is shattered and he discovers that his life has been a lie and there are no 'monsters'.
Eva Pope plays Angie, a friend of the family who is prone to indiscretion, with Amy Gledhill also appearing later in the series as Julie, who runs the local sheltered accommodation. Award winning actress Eva is known for her many successful TV roles including in Peak Practice, Waterloo Road and Coronation Street. Actress and comedian Amy recently achieved the rare feat of 3 Award nominations at this year's Edinburgh Festival and has also appeared in the award winning BBC sitcom Alma's Not Normal.
Somewhere Boy has been written by newcomer Pete Jackson and is produced by Clerkenwell Films, who brought us 'The End of the F**ing World'.
