Claire Rushbrook has won the Best Performance Award at this year's Women in Film and TV (WFTV) Awards which took place on Friday night

Sherwood and Ali and Ava actress Claire Rushbrook has been awarded the Best Performance Award at Friday's Women in Film and TV (WFTV) Awards. 

She was one of the many inspiring and talented women who received awards at the event, including Sue Barker who won a Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Her Temple and Magpie Murders co-star Daniel Mays presented her with the award and later paid tribute to her on Instagram describing her as, "a wonderful women and sublime actress who always delivers faultless, emotionally charged and engaging performances time and time again...I'm such an admirer of her work.  Huge congratulations Claire".
