'The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry' is out in cinemas across the UK from tomorrow. The film tells the story of Harold (played by Jim Broadbent), a pensioner who decides to leave his home in Devon to walk the length of the UK to see his old friend Queenie who is in a cancer hospice in Berwick-on-Tweed.
He sets out on his 500 mile journey with just the clothes on his back, meeting a variety of people on his journey who help him on his pilgrimage. One of these is a farmer's wife, played by Claire Rushbrook.
Penelope Wilton also stars as Harold's anxious wife Maureen who stays at home and watches her husband's adventure unfold through TV and newspaper coverage. The film is adapted by Rachel Joyce from her own Booker-longlisted novel.
